Yelp careers sales development2/14/2024 I have learned how to control the controllable and how to self reflect and use that insight for further growth and development. How has working in sales helped you grow personally? I was surprised to see how much support we receive to reach our full potential. Fast forward four years, and I’m now a Sales Training Manager pushing my limits to new heights! What is something that surprised you about working at Yelp? I rented a small apartment downtown with my dog, Bailey, and it was up and to the right from there! I was able to focus on my career and build a strong foundation to continue my growth. So, I packed my bags and took off to Phoenix, Arizona in September 2019. I dedicated myself to the role and absorbed every piece of knowledge available to me and became a high-producing sales representative.Īs I began to grow, I had the opportunity to transfer to another office, and I saw this as a sign to explore more of myself and my potential in a new environment. At first I struggled as an outbound AE, but the support from my leaders was unwavering. Little did I know that this would be the beginning of the next chapter of my life. In August 2018, I started as an Account Executive (AE) on Yelp’s Local Sales team in San Francisco. To celebrate his recent Yelpiversary, he is sharing a looking into his #FiveStarCareer story and his journey from being a brand new AE himself to now helping our newest AEs build their foundations for a successful career in sales. Five years ago, Ayden, now a Sales Training Manager, joined our Local Sales team as an Account Executive (AE).
